What is Veintidós?
*This project no longer has a location!*
(Abbr. Abbreviation 22PE for Veintidos)
Veintidós (22) is a permaculture experiment & community project in the South of Spain, (Mijas Pueblo in the Province of Málaga) to test and learn permaculture principles applied to an urban setting.
Veintidós is part of the Eco Hacker Farm project and we try to implement as many of the ideals as possible.
About the future
We are looking for an alternative location for our project. As of May 2017 Veintidós will no longer have a fixed site. If you know of a community that fits with our Ideals let us know - we are actively looking for a new location - somewhere warm and like minded people to work with.
How can I help?
At the moment as we are in a transition period we need help rehoming some of our creations, this being done by selling / trading / donating. We will in the next few days catalogue what we have and add it on to this page.
You can help in various ways:
- share with your friends and help us spread the word
- make a donation towards our moving costs
What has been going on at the project?
We welcome people who share their knowledge and participate in community activities linked to permaculture living, gardening, setting up a well functioning space to hold pop-up hackerspace events, organizing and planning the future.
Events
Upcoming events:
- Vegan lunch & urban permaculture discussion (19th March 2017)
- Tarot reading introduction workshop & afternoon tea (26th March 2017)
- Meditation & Dreamboard workshops (2nd April 2017)
Do you feel that you could contribute by helping with the organisation or running of events? Would you like to organise one or more of the activities you feel would compliment our project then please Let us know, we would be thrilled to have you.
You can look at our past events as well!
How do you run the house?
We have written a house manual so that anyone that comes here can familiarize themselves with their surroundings and knows what's needed to run the house effectively. Access to the house manual is given to people who register on the wiki and are present on site.
What's in the garden?

I would like to visit the project…
You are more than welcome to come visit us, we will be on site until the 25th of April 2017, if you'd like to come stay please use the form here.
In order to keep the project a sustainable one we ask that people contribute to their expenses, these currently amount to Eur13 per person per day and that includes accommodation, food and access to wifi (no streaming or heavy downloads).
For the time remaining until the end of April we will not be taking workawayers to keep our costs down as much as possible. If for any reason you would like to visit but cannot afford the donation let us know and we can discuss a possible arrangement. You can also write an email to veintidos@ecohackerfarm.org
When can I come?
You can view our calendar to see what we're up to and also how many people are staying over at any one time.
Where to find us and how to get here
We are here
You can reach Mijas Pueblo by first catching a train from Malaga to Fuengirola
and then you'll need to catch a bus to Mijas pueblo
There are ticket machines at the station for the train and you can pay the driver for the bus ticket.
The train station from the airport is just outside the terminal here
The bus stop is only one block away from the train station in Fuengirola so it's quite easy to find here
What if I want to volunteer my time remotely?
You're very welcome to do so, find more about that here
How to contact us
You can send a message to our Facebook page
