Kuckucksmühle – Project Closed

Status Update: The Kuckucksmühle (Cuckoo Mill) project is now permanently closed. This page remains online for historical reference only.

Reasons for Closure: - During the Corona years, social problems in the group emerged that could no longer be resolved. - Afterward, there were not enough people and resources to keep the project running. —

Kuckucksmühle (Cuckoo Mill) is a historical water mill in the North East of Germany (Brandenburg Federal State). From [YEAR STARTED] until its closure in [YEAR CLOSED], we aimed to restore the mill and its outbuildings, set up a Hackerspace / Hackbase and permaculture farm.

Kuckucksmühle was part of the Eco Hacker Farm project.

There are no ongoing activities, volunteer opportunities, or events. The email addresses and forms listed below are no longer monitored.

The project was intended for anyone who shared our ideals, welcoming participation both online and on site.

Activities once included restoration work, gardening, digital and hardware infrastructure building, community organizing, and permaculture research.

- The gardens were documented here: garden article - Recipes and pantry records were kept here: pantry, recipes - Our permaculture library served as a resource for visitors and volunteers.

We recorded our research and projects so they could be replicated or improved by others.

While the project has ended, the documentation on this wiki remains as a record of our work, methods, and ideas for anyone who may benefit from them.
