Dried Herbs packaging for Kuckucksmühle

We want to be able to offer people who are interested in our project something to take home with them. As we have plenty of wild grown organic herbs this seemed the more obvious and sustainable choice of product.

The packaging needs to be:

  • bio based - does not contain plastic
  • bio degradable
  • can easily hold a minimum of 100 grams of weight
  • made in accordance to food safety standards
  • able to be sealed
  • produced locally
  • produced in a sustainable way
  • affordable
  • re-usable

If it is not possible to find a product that satisfies all the criteria we would also like to consider using donated recycled jars for this project these would satisfy the following criteria:

  • can easily hold a minimum of 100 grams of weight
  • made in accordance to food safety standards
  • able to be sealed
  • re-usable

Another alternative would be to let people bring their own containers to refill.

Status rejected have decided to use plain brown paper bags with instructions for customers to transfer to sterilized jars, it makes the product more eco friendly and uses recycled materials
