Vegan Chocolate cake
ingredients for the cake
- 400g plain flour
- 200g white sugar
- 6 tablespoons drinking chocolate powder
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 8g baking powder
- 1/2 tablespoon salt
- 10 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 8g vanilla sugar
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 500ml tea
ingredients for decoration
- 250g cooking dark chocolate
- 1 jar home made jam

method
- Preheat oven to Gas 4 / 180 degrees celcius
- Lightly grease a cake mold
- Mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Add the oil, vanilla, vinegar and water. Mix together until smooth.
- Pour into prepared mold and bake at 180 C for around 30 minutes.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool.
- Slice in half and jam generously
- Melt the chocolate
- Pour over the cake to decorate
