Woodburning Pen Set

The woodburning pen can be used to permanently carve pictures or letters into materials such as leather, wood and cork. For this purpose, it is used in conjunction with the 10 burning tips and the 9 burning stamps. Additionally, it also functions as a heat cutter, e.g. to cut polystyrene, with the blade and blade holder. Finally, it can also be used as a soldering iron with the soldering tip, the longest silver-coloured tip, included in the set. For this purpose, please refer to the Soldering Iron page for further information.

1. Select a tip and screw it on. Choose a workpiece. Ideally use a practice piece of the same material first.
:!: Don't use a workpiece with a lacquered surface.:!:
2. Lightly sand down the surface
3. Turn the pen on, let it heat up.
:!: The tool gets very hot, so don't touch the metal parts and only set it down on the provided stand when not in use. :!: 4. Hold like a fountain pen and draw the motif using light, even pressure and an even speed to get an evenly dark line. The longer the tip is contact, the darker the line will become.
:!: Be carful not to burn through sensitive materials like thin leather.:!:

1. Insert the blade into one of the slots of the blade holder and screw this onto the tool. The blade will be tightened when it is screwed on.
2. Turn on the pen, let it heat up and use it like a scalpel.
