A summarized history of Finca Verde
- 14th June 2021 - Received information from the estate agent
- 2nd September 2021 - Architect & Aimee went to see the Finca
- 16th September 2021 - meeting with the owner
- 26th September 2021 - 2nd visit to the Finca
- 4th October 2021 - first meeting with the lawyer to draft promise of a sale
- 22nd October 2021 - consultation re total oxidization tank
- 31st October 2021 - 3rd visit to the Finca
- 15th November 2021 - 3rd appointment with the lawyer - Signed Promise of Sale!
- 27th November 2021 - Anton moved to the Finca
- 25th January 2022 - Received 1st quote for hot water installation at 2,500€ without filters
- 11th March 2022 - Solar Hot water working in the bathroom and the kitchen!
- 10th April 2022 - sowing of green manure completed
- Some time in May - first dip in the Alberca
- 9th to 30th June 2022 - Charlie our first volunteer arrived - he is clearing up branches and cutting down the weeds on the south side.
- 18th June 2022 - the farmer sold the horse, we were sad to see him go
- 19th June 2022 - a first walk all the way to the water source
- 13th August 2022 - co-working to set up the finca verde website
- 10th October 2022 - completed almond harvest
- 10th November 2022 - olive harvest equipment arrived
- December 2022 and January 2023 - pruning of the olive trees
- 01st February 2023 - start of research project with International Permaculture CoLab / Next Steps Project
- April 2023 - volunteer to clear up pruning and stack firewood
- 15th April 2023 - release of the first quarterly report for the research project
- July 2023 - wood stacking in exchange for accommodation
- September 2023 - almond harvest and wood stack in exchange for accommodation
