powerplant
powerplant is a open source software that allows anyone planning a garden to utilize companion planting and other permaculture practices. It provides intelligent suggestions to help the gardener by advising the best planting schedules and combinations of crops to maximize the garden's yield.
At the moment this software is still in development.

Google Summer of Code 2018
We have applied for the google summer of code program, unfortunately we have been rejected. As a lot of work went into the application here is the link to the documentation. GSOC pages if you are interested to know what we were proposing. All the project ideas at the time of writing (Feb 2018) are still relevant and if you are interested to collaborate with us as a volunteer we would love to hear from you.
Practical Applications
We are using powerplant to plan the gardens at Kuckucksmuehle.
