Useful Plants

This page is meant to gather informations on the properties and ways to use plants that we grow, or that are naturally growing around us.

  • Ivy : Can be used to make dish soap. Boil 100g of leaves in 2l of water for 5 to 10 minutes. Let it cool down. Crush the leaves, and let them soak in the juice for another 15 minutes. Collect the juice (press the leaves to get as much product as possible).

Many plants have antiseptic properties. Adding them to food preparations should enhance preservation. Among these plants are :

  • Oregano
  • Thyme
  • Garlic
  • Basil
  • Cinnamon

Consuming plants with antiseptic properties will tend to reduce infection risks :
