Vegan Chocolate cake

  • 400g plain flour
  • 300g white sugar
  • 6 tablespoons drinking chocolate powder
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon bicarbonate of soda
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 10 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 8g vanilla sugar
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 400ml water
  • 100ml green tea
  • 250g cooking dark chocolate
  • 1 jar home made jam
  • weighing scales

  • Preheat oven to Gas 4.
  • Lightly grease a cake mold
  • Mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa, bicarbonate of soda and salt. Add the oil, vanilla, vinegar and water. Mix together until smooth.
  • Pour into prepared mold and bake at 180 C for around 30 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool.
  • Slice in half and jam generously
  • Melt the chocolate
  • Pour over the cake to decorate
