What is Kuckucksmühle?

Kuckucksmühle (Cuckoo Mill) is a historical water mill in the North East of Germany, (Branderburg Federal State) to restore the mill and it's outbuilding at outset and then set up a hackerspace and permaculture farm.

Kuckucksmühle is part of the Eco Hacker Farm project.

Everyone is welcome to participate online or on site in the ongoing projects.

We would like people to come, share their knowledge and participate in community activities linked to restoration of the old mill and its outbuildings.

The kitchen garden is still being developed but there are already some edibles that we harvest including:

  • Peppermint
  • Button mushrooms (in the grow box indoors)
  • Thyme
  • Parsley
  • Chives
  • Basil

Planted:

  • Onions
  • Garlic
  • Tomatoes
  • Black Salsify
  • Celery
  • Potatoes

Growing:

  • Plums
  • Cherries (sweet and sour)
  • Hazelnut
  • Walnut
  • Apples
  • Gooseberries
  • Red Currant
  • Black Currant
  • Elderberries

We will also organise events periodically for people to hang out and work together as a community
