Social Permaculture
What is social permaculture?
Permaculture is a word coined by Bill Mollison and David Holmgren from “permanent” & “culture” / “agriculture” in the 1970's.
Permaculture practitioners around the world have applied permaculture principles to their landscapes and lives manifesting abundance not only on the land but also in their own selves and those around them.
Social permaculture therefore focuses on intrapersonal development, community relationships and all that is to do with how we relate with ourselves and others.
In the last decade there has been great developments in the field of social permaculture as it has become clear that not everyone is able to or indeed wants to live the homesteading life in the country. One such developments came from Looby McNamara who authored People & Permaculture in which the design web is presented.
