===== What is a Free Market? =====

A free market is an event at which people are invited to bring items that they no longer need to give away or swap with others. 

==== What should I bring? ====

=== Items for the free market ===

  * Clothing items
  * Blankets
  * Appliances
  * Kitchen stuff (cutlery, appliances, plates etc.)
  * Books
  * Computer equipment
  * Gardening items
  * Furniture

Items should be clean and in good condition, particularly clothes should be washed and brought in with hangers when possible so they can be displayed properly. Electronic equipment should be in good working condition or easily repairable. If the item requires repair it should be labelled as such. 

When you arrive you will see signs indicating where to take your items. Items should not be leftover without agreement with the us, please let us know if you intend to leave stuff that is not taken during the event.

=== Food to share ===

You are also encouraged to bring with you food items to share with others, these will be set on a table and everyone can help themselves. These can be cakes and other picnic items. 

==== What if I have nothing to bring? ====

You can still come and experience the event, bring your good humor and an open mind. Perhaps we can inspire you for next time.
==== What else is there to do? ====

Apart from the main event there are also games for adults, a children's area, opportunity for people to mingle, an information board where one can post classifieds for wanted / offered. You can visit the swing and hammock area and relax with an iced tea. 

==== Do you have something to add to this event? ====

We welcome your ideas, if you would like to offer a workshop or service let us know. We also have a bakery we could use to make bread for example or perhaps organise a jam session... the possibilities are endless.
