The Kitchen - how to article

• Take the lighter from the white shelves on the right of the oven where the utensils are
• Look at the pictogram and decide which one you want to use
• Press and turn for the gas to be released
• Keep pressed and use the lighter to light the hob
• Once the hob is on keep the knob pressed for about 10 seconds – if you let this go earlier it may go off and you have to repeat the process

If the flame doesn't look right turn if off as you may need to adjust the plate on the hob – you obviously won't have this issue when lighting the oven.

If the gas bottle is nearly empty the flame will look low or not turn on at all at which point you should open a ticket to alert the project manager

Once you have finished using the oven please clean it, in the interest of not getting injured you should do this when it has cooled down See Cleaning Utensils

If you are looking for plates, bowls, cups, pots, colanders, wood boards and pans you are in the right place.

The gas bottle also lives in the cupboard

You can find tea, glasses, spices, cooking oil in the top part and in the bottom part cleaning products, sponges, soap and candles.

These are full of cutlery, kitchen utensils such as mixing spoons, vegetable peelers, ladles etc. You can also find salt & sugar here

This is where the keys are kept, please remember to put them back if you have used them

We use the tap for drinking and cooking water, it only has a cold water connection.

Please clean the sink if you have poured anything in it that isn't water.

We also use this to wash big pots that wouldn't fit into the dishwasher.

If you have washed any utensils or plates here please remember to put them back where they belong when they're dry.

There are kitchen towel hanging on the right of the sink for drying you hands when you washed them, if you notice that it needs to be washed put it in the laundry bin in the bathroom under the linen shelves and replace them with clean ones (same shelves, upper part)

Other kitchen towels are located around the kitchen bench these are used for drying utensils same procedure as above if you notice that they need replacing

There is a plastic box with food on the left of the sink this belongs to Gert, please don't take anything out of it, occasionally he may take the food and and leave it next to the box as well.
