| La location usualmente de los Hackerspaces se encuentran en zonas urbanas y son faciles de visitar. En contra oposicion nosotros nos encuntramos en las afuera de la ciudad. Nuestro internet es bastante mala y es dificil encontrarnos. En un principio esto suena algo negativo, debido a que los Hackers quieren internet rápido y son flojos, pero nos dimos cuenta que podíamos hacer cosas increíbles con solo modems de 28 kbit y de 3mbit DSL para la mayoría de los usos. Nos limita de las distracciones, aumentando asi la responsabilidad de cuando descargar grandes archivos, tenemos 20 mbit por satelite. Y dado que nuestro hackerspace es dificil de alcanzar, una vez alli, obtienes todo el tiempo para realizarlas sin apuro. Puedes ser flojo y aún así encontrar inspiración aquí. Hay tantas horas tranquilas y sin uso que es posible concentrarse y producir sin la presión ruidosa de la adminitración. | The usual hackerspace is located in urban areas and is easy to visit. Opposing to this we are located in the countryside. Our internet sucks and we are hard to reach. At first this sounds bad because hackers want internet and they are lazy, but then we realize that we could do amazing things with just 28kbit modems and that 3mbit DSL is actually ok for most uses. It limits distractions, it grows a responsibility of when to download large chunks, we have 20mbit over satellite. With the part were our hackerspace is hard to reach comes that you got time, once you are here. You can be lazy and still find inspiration. There are so many undisturbed, dull hours that it is possible to tunnel and produce without the noisy pressure of management. |
