====== Rules & Guidelines for the Silent Meditation Retreat ======

===== Respect the silence =====

Participants are asked not to talk or make loud noises during silent time most particularly during workshops and whilst other people are meditating. 

Silent time is throughout the day with the exception of meal times where we ask participants to refrain for raising their voices to maintain an atmosphere of calm. 

What if I need to ask a question? During workshops you may use written communication to ask questions. 

Mobile phones and any other tech equipment should only be used privately and in the areas where talking is permitted in order not to disturb the other participants.

At Kuckucksmühle we ask all visitors to agree to our [[:ideals|Ideals]], please take a moment to read them. 

===== General guidelines =====

We encourage participants to turn their phones off for the duration of their stay in order to live more in the present and be able to enjoy the benefits of meditation unencumbered with the distract brought by this technology.
